가서 제자로 삼으라 (마태복음 28:19)
농구 시즌 초반, 우리 동네 중학교 코치가 가장 열심히 했던 일은 선수 들에게 위험을 감수하고 슛을 시도하라고 설득하는 것이었습니다. 코치는 사이드라인에서 “슛해!”라고 간청했습니다. 그러나 선수들은 열심히 공을 패스했습니다. 드리블하는 것도 선호했습니다. 시즌이 절반쯤 지나서야 대부분의 선수들이 의심을 떨쳐버리고 슛을 시도하기 시작했습니다. 하지만 “해보자”라는 결심이 모든 것을 바꿨습니다. 코치의 말을 따르고, 의심을 버리고, 비록 득점에 실패하더라도 시도하면서, 그들은 승리하는 법을 배웠습니다.
예수님은 제자를 삼으라는 부르심에 순종하기 위해 의심을 버리라고 가르치십니다. 주님은 “하늘과 땅의 모든 권세를 내게 주셨으니 그러므로 너희는 가서 모든 민족을 제자로 삼아 아버지와 아들과 성령의 이름으로 세례를 베풀고 내가 너희에게 분부한 모든 것을 가르쳐 지키게 하라”(마태복음 28:18-20)고 말씀하셨습니다.
실제로, 이 말씀은 우리가 안일함을 떨치고 일어나 하나님께 받은 은혜를 다른 사람들과 나누는 것을 의미할 수 있습니다. 또는 상처받은 이웃들의 삶에 직접 들어가 예수님의 사랑을 보여주는 것일 수도 있습니다. 이러한 접근 방법은 효과적이지만, 우리가 의심을 버리고 시도할 때에만 가능합니다.
무엇보다, 우리는 제자를 삼는 일이 어려워 보일 수도 있지만, 예수님의 권세 안에서 시도해 보아야 합니다. 두려워할 필요는 없습니다. 예수님은 “내가 세상 끝날까지 너희와 항상 함께 있으리라”(20절)고 약속하셨습니다.
당신은 제자를 삼는 일에 대해 어떤 두려움과 의심이 있나요? 왜 그런가요? 어떻게 그리스도의 부르심에 순종할 수 있을까요?
사랑하는 하나님 아버지, 제자를 삼는 연습이 필요하지만 제가 의심을 버리고 시도할 수 있도록 용기를 주소서.

MAKING DISCIPLES FOR CHRIST

Go and make disciples. [ MATTHEW 28:19 ]
Early in the basketball season, the coach at our neighborhood middle school seemed to work hardest convincing his players to risk shooting the ball. Shoot! he pleaded from the sidelines. His players eagerly passed the ball. Dribbling was a favorite too. The season was half over before most of them would shed their doubts and try to shoot the ball to score. But going for it made all the difference. By obeying their coach, letting go of doubt, and tryingeven if they often missed the targetthey learned to win.
Jesus teaches us to let go of doubt to obey His call to make disciples. He explains, All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you (MATTHEW 28:18-20).
In practical terms, this can mean stepping out of our comfort to share our story of what God has done for us. Or getting involved in the lives of our hurting neighbors, showing them Jesus’ love. Such approaches work, but only if we let go and try them.
Above all, we go in Jesus’ authority to attempt what may look hardmaking disciples. But we need not fear. Jesus promised: Surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age (V. 20). PATRICIA RAYBON

오늘의 성경말씀(마태복음 28장16-20절) : 제자들에게 사명을 주시는 예수님
“그러므로 너희는 가서 모든 민족을 제자로 삼아 아버지와 아들과 성령의 이름으로 세례를 베풀고”(마28:19)
주님! 예수님은 제자들에게 복음전파를 위해 지상 최고의 사명을 주십니다. 예수님은 세상 끝 날까지 그들과 함께 하실 것을 약속하십니다(16-20절) 아멘!
주님! 부활하신 예수님은 하늘과 땅의 모든 권세를 갖고 있다고 선포하십니다(18절) 왕이신 예수님은 제자들에게 위대한 지상 최고의 사명을 주십니다. 먼저는 모든 민족을 제자로 삼는 사명을 주셨고 , 다음에 아버지와 아들과 성령의 이름으로 세례를 주라고 말씀하십니다(19절) 이것은 삼위일체 하나님을 위해 헌신하게 하는 사명입니다. 마지막으로 말씀으로 가르쳐 지키게 하라는 사명입니다. 훈련을 통해 말씀에 순종하여 삶가운데 실천하게 하는 사명입니다. 예수님은 제자들이 이 모든 사명을 마치게 되는 세상 끝날까지 그들과 항상 함께 있으시겠다고 약속하셨습니다(20절) 아멘!
주님! 하늘과 땅의 모든 권세를 가지신 창조주 우리왕 예수님께서 제자들에게 주셨던 위대한 지상대 사명( The Great Commission )은 오늘을 사는 우리에게도 동일하게 주시는 사명인줄 믿습니다. 하나님 나라의 백성으로서 주신 사명을 잘 감당하기를 원합니다. 주님의 복음을 선포할 때에 우리의 지식에 의지하지 않게 하시고 오직 성령님을 의지해서 구원의 복음을 담대히 전하기를 원합니다. 세상 끝날까지 우리와 함께 하신다는 주님의 약속으로 말미암아 우리 마음이 더욱 든든하고 담대하오니, 충성스러운 제자로서 위대한 사명을 잘 감당하기를 간절히 기도드립니다. 아멘! 할렐루야!
“오직 성령이 너희에게 임하시면 너희가 권능을 받고 예루살렘과 온 유대와 사마리아와 땅끝까지 이르러 내 증인이 되리라 하시니라”(행1:8)

Today’s Insights
The Gospels describe Jesus as a man who “taught as one who had authority” (Matthew 7:29) and one who “has authority on earth to forgive sins” (9:6). God has “granted him authority over all people that he might give eternal life to all those [God has] given him” (John 17:2). When Christ sent His twelve disciples out to preach, He gave them His authority to do the work (Matthew 10:1). Before He returned to the Father after His death and resurrection, Jesus entrusted to us the task of telling the world the good news. He commanded us to tell others about what He’s done for us and to disciple them (28:19-20). We can let go of doubt, for we’re not going out on our own. Christ promised, “Surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age” (v. 20).

“Go and make diciples” is teaching Jesus having appeared to the diciples when He came to them after death. And He added,”Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,” “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,”Matthew 28:19-20 Let’s remember the one who gave this command is Jesus and He will accomplish what he did. Spreading and sharing daily bread by commenting is the best way to share and spread.“
“가서 제자 삼으라“ 예수님께서 죽음에서 다시 일어 나셔 제자들에게 찿아 오셔서 직접 하신 말씀이다. 그리고 말씀 하신다,” “그러므로 너희는 가서 모든 민족을 제자로 삼아 아버지와 아들과 성령의 이름으로 세례를 베풀고.”
“내가 너희에게 분부한 모든 것을 가르쳐 지키게 하라 볼지어다 내가 세상 끝날까지 너희와 항상 함께 있으리라 하시니라” 마태복음 28:19-20 이 명령을 하신이가 예수님 이신것을 기억하여 말씀하신것을 이루실이 또한 예수님인것을 기억하자. 매일 양식을 먹고 읽은 말씀을 나누는일은 이를 위한 최선의 길 아니겠나.
How befitting today’s devotional is to the events of the past week. Thousands, if not millions of Christians have a heard a call to put on the Armor of God. Not to attack, but to proclaim the name of Jesus. Those that were on the fringe went to church for the first time, some felt the need to hear a sermon, and many shed their doubts to say out loud that Christ was and is their savior. The Spirit works and gives us courage to go forth. God, ease any doubt or fears I have and let me proclaim what you have done for me and what you can do for others. I pray and thank you for those that have heard your calling. Amen.
